SAP SuccessFactors Learning Release 2411 Preview: Our impressions

The latest release brings a host of innovative features designed to enhance user experience, streamline learning processes, and support organizational growth. Among the many different new features, we pick the most important 3 in our view.

The main promise: improve UI and introduce AI

Major effort has been focused on improving and activating existing functionalities also on the new Integrated Learning Experience (ILX). Among these, the new MyTeam page stands out.

With the increasing focus on AI capabilities, SAP has now released useful tools for administrators to fully integrate the platform-wide Skills ontology and Talent Intelligent Hub within the LMS. It is now possible to mass import training-skills relationships and also to leverage AI to automate the internal LMS skill library with the skills that are supplied along with the external content providers content streams.

The “secret” weapon: MS Teams Integration

With more and more training classes being delivered every day via MSTeams, it is very nice to see the integration growing more robust and reliable with this release. This enhancement was not prominent in the release notes but it will surely facilitate better collaboration and learning and reduce tons of hours of manual recording of completed classes.

Sorry we missed you, xAPI…

The great absentee at the call seems to be the xAPI. After a long and impatient wait, the release of the xAPI support is postponed to next year. For sure this will come, sooner or later, the LxP providers and LMS niche players can probably celebrate this delay!

Overall, these updates mark a significant step forward for SAP SuccessFactors Learning!
